South Colonie set to Launch MyRide App for Families in March

The South Colonie Central School District is launching a new app called MyRide K-12 beginning on Monday, March 2. The app will help families stay informed about their child’s school bus.
With MyRide, families can see their child’s bus in real time and receive alerts about delays, schedule changes, and route updates. The app is designed to improve communication and give families more confidence about transportation.
During the spring, the district will ask families to share feedback about the app. This input will help make sure MyRide works well for everyone.
“We are excited to offer this new tool to families,” said Brian Sim, Transportation Supervisor. “Family feedback will help us improve the app before it is fully rolled out.”
After reviewing feedback and making improvements, the district plans to have full use of the app by fall 2026. More information, including instructions for downloading the app and connecting student information, will be shared with families soon.
South Colonie looks forward to working with families to provide a safer and smoother bus experience for all students.
