South Colonie Athletic Hall of Fame Now Accepting Nominations for the Class of 2026

The South Colonie Board of Education Athletic Hall of Fame Committee is now accepting nominations for the Colonie Central High School Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2026. All nominations will be reviewed by the selection committee, with the Class of 2026 announced in June.
Nominations remain active for three years and are reviewed annually during that period. After three years, unselected nominations are moved to an inactive list and may be resubmitted for consideration.
Nomination deadline: Friday, March 6, 2026
Eligibility categories include:

Athlete: Eligible seven (7) years after graduation from Colonie Central High School

Team: Eligible ten (10) years after a significant athletic achievement

Coach: Current and former Colonie Central High School coaches

Athletic Contributor: Athletes, coaches, community members, or groups who have made a significant impact on the athletic program

Legacy: Individuals, teams, or coaches whose involvement at Colonie Central High School occurred 50 or more years ago
The Colonie Central High School Athletic Hall of Fame honors graduates, staff, and community members whose achievements have left a lasting impact on the school community and continue to inspire today’s students.
“Our Hall of Fame celebrates excellence and the powerful role athletics plays in shaping our school community,” said Athletic Director Bill Roemer. “Each class reflects the tradition, pride, and dedication that define Colonie athletics.”
