ICARE Students Provide Family Fun at Halloween High

Children of all ages were welcome at Colonie Central High School on October 29 for a spooktacular Halloween celebration.
The classrooms of CCHS were transformed by high school students into family-friendly frightful fun rooms. At Halloween High, children were able to grab sweet treats, get their faces painted, and show off their costumes ahead of Halloween.

The event was hosted by ICARE (Integrity, Community, Accountability, Respect, and Empathy). Admission proceeds supported the group's year-long fundraising efforts for the Albany Housing Coalition, while proceeds from activities hosted inside the classrooms benefited participating CCHS clubs.

"This event is a great example of our students using creativity and teamwork to give back to the community," said CCHS Associate Principal and ICARE advisor Tess McCarthy. "It was wonderful to see families, students, and staff come together for a fun evening while supporting causes that make a meaningful difference.”
Proceeds from this event, and all ICARE-sponsored events throughout the year, will benefit AHC and its mission to address veteran housing insecurity and support local veterans in need.
