Students, faculty and staff at Roessleville Elementary School were honored and thrilled to serve as a key stop along the annual Albany Ride for Missing Children route on September 25.

Roessleville marked the approximate halfway point for the cyclists during their 100-mile journey across the region to raise vital awareness for missing and exploited children and promote child safety education. Holding up handmade signs of encouragement, students lined the path to cheer on the dedicated riders as they arrived.

"Hosting the Ride for Missing Children is an incredible opportunity for our school community," said Principal Marybeth Tedisco. "Our students were so excited to show their support and learn such an important message about safety, unity, and looking out for one another.”

The Albany Ride for Missing Children is an annual event to raise awareness of missing and exploited children and promoting child safety through education, advocacy, and community partnerships across the Capital Region to help create safer environments for every child.
