Class of 2026 Graduate Named One of Capital District Sports Women of the Year

Colonie Central High School graduate, Olivia Hoffman (Class of 2026), was honored alongside nine other local athletes at the Capital District Sports Women of the Year (CDSWOY) Gala on August 3.
During her time at CCHS, Hoffman competed in basketball, flag football and tennis. Hoffman was a member of two sectional championship basketball teams in her sophomore and junior seasons, and in her senior season, the team was the runner-up. She was the Sectional MVP in 2025. She was a fifth team All-State selection in her senior season and was an honorable mention honoree in 2024-25. She received first team All-League honors in the 2025-26 season and was a third team pick in 2024-25. Hoffman was captain of the tennis team in her senior year. As a safety and receiver in flag football, she caught 80 passes for 1,047 yards and 11 touchdowns, while also recording 49 yards rushing.

Academically, Olivia had a 98.4 GPA at CCHS. She took a number of Advanced Placement classes and excelled in college-level classes including SUNY Pre-Calculus, Spanish 101 and Spanish 200.
“Olivia is an outstanding model of what it means to be a well-rounded Colonie student-athlete,” said Supervisor of Athletics, Physical Education and Intramurals William Roemer. “This recognition is a well deserved reflection of the drive, academic discipline, and leadership she displayed every day. She represented Colonie Athletics with the utmost character, and we are proud to celebrate this achievement with her.”
Hoffman is the second Colonie Central High School student-athlete selected by CDSWOY. She joins Isabella Franchi, who was selected in 2023.
