ICARE Receives $5,000 Donation at Community Bank Grand Opening

Colonie Central High School’s ICARE group received a $5,000 donation from Community Bank at their newest location’s grand opening ceremony on August 3, 2026.
Community Bank chose ICARE as a beneficiary because of the group’s core values of Integrity, Community, Accountability, Respect, and Empathy. As members of ICARE, CCHS students embody those values and grow into leaders and positive role models through service, action, and community engagement.

At the bank’s newest location on Wolf Road in Colonie, ICARE President Vincent Forenzo spoke about how the bank’s mission closely aligns with the character building program.
“With Community Bank’s generous support, we can continue our mission at Colonie to highlight our students and the work we accomplish,” said Forenzo.

“We are deeply honored to receive this support from Community Bank,” said ICARE Advisor Tess McCarthy. “This donation will help us continue to give back to the Colonie community and help our students grow as community leaders themselves.”
In 2025, Community Bank gave out $135,200 in community sponsorships to support the surrounding community in their newest locations.
