Colonie Girls Lacrosse Alumni Game Brings Players Back to Ambrosio Field

The Colonie Girls Lacrosse program welcomed former players back to Ambrosio Field for its Alumni Game, bringing together generations of athletes to celebrate the program and the connections built through the sport.
The event gave alumni an opportunity to return to the field, reconnect with former teammates and coaches, and meet the current student-athletes carrying on the tradition of Colonie Girls Lacrosse. Players from a variety of graduating classes took part in the evening, sharing stories and memories while enjoying the chance to compete together once again.
Organized by Head Coach Layne Woodard, the game was created as a way to strengthen the connection between past and present players and recognize the many athletes who have helped shape the program over the years.
"One of the goals was to bring everyone back together and celebrate the history of our program," said Woodard. "It was great to see former players reconnect with each other and share their experiences with our current athletes. It really showed how much this program means to so many people."
The Alumni Game highlighted what makes high school athletics special—the relationships, sense of community and shared experiences that continue long after graduation. Alumni also had the chance to see the continued improvements to Colonie's athletic facilities and witness firsthand how the program continues to grow.
The Colonie Girls Lacrosse program thanks all of the alumni who returned to participate and support the event. Their continued connection to the program serves as a reminder that once you are part of the Colonie lacrosse family, you are always part of it.
