CCHS Seniors Display Projects in Year-End Showcase

Colonie Central High School seniors displayed the results of a full year of work at a final Senior Project Showcase Day on June 4.
Students had the opportunity to present their research, internship experiences, and innovative engineering projects to peers, staff, and South Colonie board members. Underclassmen and guests were encouraged to interact directly with presenters, ask questions, and learn more about each project and experience.
The showcase included students debuting their PLTW (Project Lead the Way) Engineering Capstone Projects, CEIP (Career Exploration Internship Program) Capstone Projects, and Athletic Training Lab Posters.
“Our students not only showcased the results of their hard work and research, but also demonstrated confidence, communication skills, collaboration, and professionalism through their interactions with visitors throughout the day,” said Kristin Mesick, coordinator of the CCHS College and Career Planning Center. “Watching them explain their experiences and engage with others showed just how prepared they are for what comes next.”
The College and Career Planning Center helps students plan ahead for their lives after high school through classroom activities, applied learning experiences, college and career workshops, industry-related field trips.
