Colonie Central High School students reelected rising senior Vincent Forenzo to serve as their student representative on the South Colonie Board of Education. 

The position was created last year in accordance with New York State requirements and Forenzo was the first person to serve in the role. 

“I have learned so much about our district and have been able to work with students and administrators,” said Forenzo about his time as student representative. “I am so proud and honored to serve the Colonie community, and give a voice to our students. I appreciate the confidence that my peers have had in me to serve our community.” 

The student board member attends Board of Education meetings and offers insight on issues that impact students. The role helps ensure that student perspectives are considered in district decision-making and strengthens the connection between students and school leadership.
