Best Buddies Work Together in Saddlewood Courtyard

Saddlewood Elementary students worked together in their courtyard after school to get ready for spring. The Best Buddies Courtyard Cleanup included students of all abilities working in garden beds, planting new flowers, and putting fresh sand in the sand box.
Saddlewood Principal Stacey Wranesh said the students look forward to their monthly Best Buddies activities.

“Whether they’re playing games, working on projects, or simply talking and getting to know each other, it’s clear how much these connections mean to our students,” said Wranesh. “It’s been great to see the kindness, patience, and enthusiasm that students bring to the group. Best Buddies helps create a space where everyone feels included and valued, and it’s something we’re really proud to be part of here at Saddlewood.”
Best Buddies has chapters across the nation and all over the world. School chapters work to create opportunities to foster friendships, connections, and community for students with and without disabilities.
