Honor a Colonie Grad: Nominations now open for the Class of 2026 Hall of Fame

The South Colonie Board of Education Hall of Fame Committee is now accepting nominations for the Colonie Central High School Hall of Fame Class of 2026. The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, April 10, 2026. The selection committee will meet in April, and this year’s inductees will be honored in Fall 2026.
Since 1994, the Hall of Fame has celebrated nearly 80 graduates who have achieved extraordinary success in their fields. Inductees represent a variety of eras and accomplishments, inspiring current students to dream big. In 2010, the Hall of Fame added a Military Wing to honor Colonie Central graduates who gave their lives while serving in the armed forces.
“The Hall of Fame is a powerful way to recognize the incredible achievements of our alumni,” said Superintendent Dr. David Perry. “It’s an opportunity for our students to see what’s possible and to understand that the foundation for success often starts right here at Colonie Central. These stories inspire our students to aim high and pursue their passions.”
Hall of Fame inductees are celebrated in multiple ways:
- Recognized during the annual commencement ceremony.
- Honored at a special reception with family and friends.
- March in the graduation processional during their induction year.
- Receive on-stage recognition in front of graduates, families, and guests.
- Commemorated with a portrait and biography displayed in the Hall of Fame hallway at Colonie Central High School.
All nominees are acknowledged, and if not selected in a given year, remain eligible for up to five years.
