South Colonie CSD Donates 3,000 Toys in Annual Toys for Tots Campaign

South Colonie Central School District is celebrating another successful year of its annual Toys for Tots campaign, collecting approximately 3,000 toys across its eight schools.
Students, faculty, and staff once again came together to support children and families in need during the holiday season at Stuff the Bus events at each of our elementary and middle schools and at Colonie Central High School’s Holiday Lights event.
This tremendous achievement would not be possible without the support of our community—our families, local organizations, first responders, district staff, and U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sergeant Ted Kleniewski, whose partnership continues to make this effort a success. Our Transportation Department also plays an integral role in the collection drive each year, ensuring that this initiative runs smoothly and efficiently.
“Each year, our Toys for Tots campaign gives our students a powerful lesson in compassion, generosity, and caring for others,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. David Perry. “Seeing our families, staff, and local partners come together to support children in need reflects the values we strive to instill in every student. I couldn’t be more proud of the kindness and teamwork that define our district.”
This year marks South Colonie’s 19th consecutive year participating in Toys for Tots. With this milestone reached, plans are already in the works to create a memorable 20th year in 2026.
