Six students officially signed their National Letters of Intent or college commitment letters, marking the next step in their athletic and academic careers. Families, coaches, teammates, and members of the school community gathered to celebrate these students’ accomplishments and dedication:
- Jadeyn Barbero – Mercy University, Softball (D2)
- Natalie Boardman – Iona College, Lacrosse (D1)
- Ryan Buskey – University of Georgia, Track (D1)
- Owen Conley – University of Wyoming, Cross Country/Track (D1)
- Mariah Durenay – Boston University, Track (D1)
- Olivia Hoffman – Daemen University, Basketball (D2)
“This ceremony reflects years of hard work, determination, and commitment,” said Colonie Central High School Principal William Behrle. “We are incredibly proud of these students and the example they set for their teammates, classmates, and the entire school community.”
Athletic Director William Roemer added, “Our student-athletes have not only excelled on the field and court, but they’ve also shown what it means to be leaders, teammates, and role models. Signing Day is more than just a ceremony; it’s a celebration of their perseverance, dedication, and the countless hours they’ve put in to reach this point. We’re excited to see what they accomplish next, both in college athletics and in life.”
