Distinguished Alumni Inducted into Colonie Central High School Academic Hall of Fame

The South Colonie Central School District proudly celebrated the induction of the Colonie Central High School Academic Hall of Fame Fall Class of 2025, honoring seven distinguished graduates whose accomplishments reflect the district’s long-standing tradition of excellence. The inductees shared the stage with incoming members of the National Honor Society, who were also inducted at the November 6 ceremony.
This year’s Hall of Fame inductees represent decades of achievement and service across education, the arts, public service, and more:
- Barry John Quigley – Class of 1963 (posthumous honor)
- Sean Culnan – Class of 1985
- Julia DeVillers – Class of 1985
- Kevin Terry – Class of 1990
- Brian Sleasman – Class of 2008
- Cathryn Wake – Class of 2008
- Joseph Tassarotti – Class of 2009
“Our celebration tonight is one of twofold purpose,” said Assistant Superintendent for Instruction Tom Kachadurian at the ceremony. “But in reality it is a united embrace of the core concepts vested in excellence, achievement, self-driven purpose, altruism, integrity and sacrifice.”
The event brought together family, friends, faculty, alumni, and community members to honor these individuals for their lasting contributions and educational achievements. The evening also included a special recognition of longtime educator, Colleen Clayton, ahead of her retirement. For 20 years, she has supported our students and Colonie Central High School’s National Honor Society.
