The South Colonie Central School District is proud to announce the unveiling of its newly dedicated James “Tim” Ryan Press Box.

Tim Ryan was a longtime South Colonie School Board member and Colonie resident. He served on our school board for more than 30 years and was a graduate of the Class of 1966. 

At the dedication ceremony on Homecoming, members of the community, our current school board members, and the Ryan family all took a moment to remember a man who gave our schools so much. 

Tim had a passion for our Colonie and was heavily involved in our Next Generation Capital Project. He was a member of the Facilities and Transportation Committee for many years and knew the value of upgrading our school facilities. 

“This press box is just a small reminder of a man who gave so much to generations of students, athletes, and families. It’s a fitting tribute for someone who was always cheering for South Colonie to succeed,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. David Perry.
