2025 Colonie Academic Hall of Fame: Nominations Now Open

The South Colonie Board of Education Hall of Fame Committee is now accepting nominations for the Colonie Central High School Hall of Fame Fall Class of 2025. Applications will be accepted through Friday, August 29, 2025.
Since its establishment in 1994, the Hall of Fame has recognized nearly 80 outstanding Colonie Central High School graduates for their exceptional achievements across diverse fields. Inductees span generations and professions, serving as powerful role models for current students.
Beginning in the 2025–26 school year, Hall of Fame inductees will be recognized each fall during the National Honor Society Induction Ceremony in November. This new tradition creates a meaningful connection between the accomplishments of distinguished alumni and the academic achievements of current students. Previously, honorees were celebrated each spring at graduation, with the most recent inductees recognized in June during the Colonie’s 71st Commencement Ceremony at the MVP Arena.
“This change allows us to highlight the accomplishments of our alumni during an evening that celebrates scholarship, leadership, and character, which are values that mirror those of our Hall of Fame,” said Superintendent Dr. David Perry. “It’s another way for students to see the possibilities that lie ahead, and the impact a South Colonie education can have.”
Hall of Fame inductees:
- Are recognized at a formal reception alongside National Honor Society inductees.
- Participate in the November induction ceremony as honored guests.
- Are commemorated with a portrait and biography plaque displayed in the Hall of Fame hallway at Colonie Central High School.
- Remain in the active nominee pool for five years if not selected in their first year.
The Hall of Fame also includes a Military Wing, established in 2010, honoring CCHS graduates who lost their lives while serving on active duty.
Each inductee’s story is a reminder of what’s possible when passion, perseverance, and a strong educational foundation come together. Read more about past Hall of Fame inductees here.
