South Colonie Shares 2025 Budget Exit Survey Results

On Tuesday, May 20, the South Colonie Central School District conducted a voluntary, anonymous exit survey during its annual school budget vote. The goal of the survey was to gather demographic information and better understand why residents voted the way they did, including their connection to the district and opinions on the proposed budget.
The survey was offered in both paper and digital formats at polling locations for voters to complete after casting their ballots. While the results do not represent the views of all voters, they offer meaningful insight into community perceptions surrounding the district and its 2025-26 budget proposal.
Of the 1,081 residents who voted, 367 completed the survey—yielding a response rate of 33.95%.
