South Colonie Honors Senior Athletes on Spring Signing Day

South Colonie Central School District celebrated the accomplishments of its senior student-athletes during a special Spring Signing Day ceremony held on Tuesday, June 3, at Colonie Central High School.
The students were honored as they officially signed their National Letters of Intent or college commitment letters to continue their athletic and academic careers at the collegiate level. Families, coaches, teammates, and school community members gathered to cheer them on as they took this important next step in their journeys.
“This celebration reflects years of hard work, determination, and commitment,” said Colonie Central High School Principal William Behrle. “We are incredibly proud of these students and the legacy they leave behind here at Colonie.”
Student-athletes from a wide range of sports, including football, volleyball, softball, basketball, track and field, lacrosse, soccer, and more, were recognized. Their destinations include institutions across New York State and the Northeast, from SUNY schools to private colleges and universities.
“These athletes represent the very best of Colonie—on the field, in the classroom, and in our community,” said Athletic Director William Roemer. “We can’t wait to see what they achieve next.”
The event also acknowledged several athletes who participated in the fall signing ceremony held in November 2024.
