South Colonie Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) lottery deadline extended

Registration has been extended for the South Colonie Central School District New York State grant funded Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) lottery. 

Children are chosen for the program through a random lottery held in the spring. All parents must register their students for the lottery to be eligible for UPK. No bus transportation is provided.

Eligibility

  • Your child must be four years old on or before December 1, 2020 (DOB range between 12/2/15-12/1/16)
  • You and your child must reside in the South Colonie Central School District

About the Program

The program is located at Roessleville or Saddlewood Elementary School. Morning program hours 9:00 to 11:30  a.m. and afternoon program hours run from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. Each Pre-K class is taught by a certified elementary teacher and a teaching assistant.  *Please note that while we do our best to accommodate requests, we cannot guarantee a location or AM/PM session.

Registration Process

Deadline: Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 4:00 pm., no exceptions

Necessary proof of residency will be required.  Once registration is completed, a lottery number will be assigned. 

Lottery Details

June 2, 2020 at 4 p.m. 

Enrollment will be by lottery system and will be drawn via live stream on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at 4:00 p.m.  More information will be forthcoming.
