Earlier this month, the South Colonie Central District announced the transition to MasterLibrary, a new online facility request and rental system to provide a more streamlined user experience. With the implementation of MasterLibrary, reservation requests can be submitted easily and will be handled more efficiently. Renters will be able to access photos and descriptions, see real-time availability, get estimated quotes, and pay online.
“We understand how important our facilities are to not only our students and faculty but our overall community,” said Dr. Perry Superintendent of Schools. “With that in mind, we wanted to provide an easier way for individuals and organizations looking to use our facilities to check availability in real time and reserve space. We also found this system to be more efficient for the staff members that manage our facility rentals.”
Annually, the Board of Education sets a fee schedule for facility use. A printable copy of 2022-23 fee schedule can be viewed here.
MasterLibrary will assist with the set-up of organizations and user accounts, including verification of non-profit status (if applicable). It is also set up to collect payment and proof of insurance (certificate of insurance).
“Although the process of requesting/approval/management of facility use is now digital, what’s implemented on MaterLibrary, remains the same as dictated by the South Colonie Central School District board policies on facility use,” Perry added. “The district’s administrative staff will continue to make final decisions regarding facility use requests.”
