In celebration of its 75th anniversary, the South Colonie Central School District is kicking off a journey through time with the launch of its Legacy podcast series. This series, a tribute to the district’s rich history and commitment to education, promises to offer listeners a captivating and insightful look back at the past, a glimpse into the present, and a vision of the future.

The Legacy podcast series will explore the stories, experience, and memories of students, alumni, educators, and community members who have been a part of the South Colonie journey over the years. Each episode will feature interviews, anecdotes, and reflections that highlight the district’s evolution and the positive impact it has had on generations of learners.
“Our 75th anniversary is not just a milestone; it’s a testament to the enduring spirit of our community,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. David Perry. “This podcast series will be a living archive of our shared history and a source of inspiration for our next generation of Colonie.”
The first episode of the Legacy podcast features ‘84 alumni Michele Lyons Polito and future Colonie grad Angelo Polito focusing on their family’s multi-generational connection to Colonie. The episode explores their experiences, memories and the impact the school has had on their lives over the years. Additionally, we dive into her family’s involvement in the school’s music department and the pride of being a part of CCHS’s history.
