Sand Creek teachers, Hope Bigwarfe and Stacey Sebert, authored an article published in the latest edition of The Journal of Marine Education, Current.  This is the official journal for the National Marine Educators Association.  The article, Polar-ICE Data Stories: Putting Real Data from Polar Regions into the Hands of Students, showcases Data Stories created by the National Science Foundation funded Polar-ICE Project, and how Ms. Bigwarfe and Ms. Sebert use them in their classes.  The Data Stories align with the Next Generation Science Standards, Ocean, and Polar Literacy Principles.  They provide students with the opportunity to explore real-world data using engaging phenomenon.
