It happened again! At the General Electric KidWind Competition in April, the Sand Creek Middle School Winnders and the Sonic Spinners ‘blew away’ the competition.
The Sonic Spinners (Jackson Bearup, Jack Cronin and Augustine Freeman) won $1,000 for their first place finish in the Middle School division. The Sand Creek Winnders (Janelle Adkins, Dylan Morehouse, David Pham, Stephen Pham and Ryan Seestadt) also won $1,000 for their finish as the first place team in the OVERALL competition. That means that for the second straight regional competition in a row, both Sand Creek teams qualified for Nationals and, with their overall win, the SC Winnders beat all teams who participated in the competition – both middle and high school.
