Time-sensitive updates will also be shared through the district’s mass notification system (Blackboard Connect).

- Reopening plan
- Daily Health Checks
- Procedures for Communicating Positive COVID-19 Cases
- Chronic Medical Condition Documentation Form
The South Colonie Central School District reopening plan is now available to and will be updated throughout the school year, as necessary, to respond to local circumstances.
Please note that while this plan is required to be submitted to the state, a final determination on school opening in New York will be made by the Governor in the first week of August. Additionally, items in this plan are subject to change following the release of new guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH), New York State Education Department (NYSED), or other determinations that may be made by the Governor.
We recognize that some students and staff suffer from chronic medical conditions such as seasonal allergies, migraines, and other medical conditions that may mimic symptoms of COVID-19.
In order to avoid potential dismissals and frequent visits to the doctors for COVID testing, the District Medical Director Dr. Warren Silverman has developed a Chronic Medical Condition Documentation form to be completed by a physician. (*Please note all orders must be certified by an M.D. or D.O.)
