A very sad thing has happened in our Lisha Kill Middle School community. On January 10, one of our teachers, Mrs. Shana Marra, died after a long illness. We are all profoundly saddened by her death. Mrs. Marra was a teacher in South Colonie for 20 years. She leaves behind a husband, Ben and two sons, Ben and Luc.
To honor Shana’s memory, a Scholarship Fund has been set up via the District Office in memory of Shana Marra. The scholarship is for a Colonie Central High School senior pursuing a degree in Special Education. If you would like to donate to the scholarship fund checks should be made payable to:
