Forest Park Learns About Birds of Prey

Forest Park Elementary School students enjoyed learning about birds of prey with The Wildlife Institute of Eastern NY. Students had an up-close introduction to an assortment of birds of prey including an Eastern Screech Owl (Hootie), a Barn Owl (Darwin), an Aplomado Falcon (Esteban), a Red Tailed Hawk (Lily), and a Eurasian Eagle Owl (Wyatt). They learned about the impressive adaptations and behaviors of these remarkable birds. as well conservation issues that impact these birds and how students can make a difference. Thank you to the Forest Park PTA for sponsoring this assembly.
