Colonie Athletics Spring Sports Registration – Begins March 29

Dear Parents/Guardians,

On Friday, January 22, the Governor’s Office approved high-risk sports to start PENDING the approval from Albany County Department of Health (ACDOH).

The Albany County Department of Health has given the approval for high-risk sports to start if the county infection rate stays below four percent. The South Colonie CSD will be reviewing those high-risk sports procedures (pending approval) for boys Modified, JV and Varsity lacrosse teams at the Tuesday, April 13 South Colonie CSD Board of Education meeting.

ASPEN Spring Sports Registration opens Monday, March 29, 2021.

In anticipation of those approvals, Colonie High School is starting spring sports registration in ASPEN for all 9th-12th grade students interested in trying out for the following sports/levels:

  • Baseball- Varsity, JV, Freshman
  • Softball- Varsity, JV, Modified 9
  • Tennis Boys- Varsity
  • Boys Lacrosse- Varsity, JV
  • Girls Lacrosse Varsity, JV
  • Girls Track Varsity, JV, Freshman
  • Boys Track Varsity, JV, Freshman 

Modified Sports Registration will open in ASPEN on Monday, April 5.

Athletic Placement Process for 7th & 8th Grade athletes.

APP students who have been invited to try out for a high school level sport will sign up on the modified level team starting Monday, April 5.

The following sports will be offered at the modified level this spring.

  • Baseball- Modified 7/8
  • Softball- Modified 9, Modified 7/8
  • Boys Lacrosse- Modified 7/8
  • Girls Lacrosse- Modified 7/8
  • Boys Track- Modified 7/8
  • Girls Track- Modified 7/8

**Parents/Guardians must use the “parent login” to register their son/daughter for a spring sport.

 **If student athletes have had a physical in the 2018-2019 school year, or the 2019-2020 school year, they do not need to update their sports physical for this spring season.
