
In June, the South Colonie Board of Education approved the appointment of Melissa Judge as the new associate principal at Colonie Central High School (CCHS) for the 2022-23 school year.
On July 1, Judge transitioned to her new role where she will serve as the class of 2025 associate principal and will oversee both the social studies and English departments.
Judge began her educational career at Herkimer Middle School in July 2003 as an English Teacher and then transitioned to Colonie Central High School in July 2005. At CCHS, she taught English and held a variety of other leadership roles including cheerleading coach, grade level coordinator and club advisor. In 2019, Judge served as an administrative intern for CCHS before taking a position as assistant principal at Schalmont Middle School in 2020.
“I am thrilled to have Melissa rejoin our team at the high school,” said CCHS Executive Principal Mr. Kachadurian. “In addition to her extensive experience in the classroom at Colonie, she served as an administrative intern working under my leadership to support students and families. She has a gift for rolling up her sleeves and getting things done while making people feel valued and understood. We are lucky to have her back at Colonie.”
Judge earned a MS in Literacy from the State University at Albany and a BA in English with a minor in secondary education from Le Moyne College. Additionally, she holds the New York State Building Leader Certification and the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Administration & SBL Licensure from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, Leadership Academy.
