Each year, the Mohawk Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) recognizes one student each from Colonie Central High School, Shaker High School, and Albany High School at the organization’s annual awards ceremony.

“The award recognizes and rewards individuals who possess the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities,” said CCHS Principal Thomas Kachadurian. “These students are selected by their teachers and peers.  We are proud of Ms. Coogan and are thrilled that is she being recognized for her leadership in these qualities.”
