The South Colonie Board of Education will hold a public hearing on the 2020-21 budget on Tuesday, May 26 at 7 p.m. The meeting will be available for public viewing and participation via live stream only.
Per the state, residents will vote June 9 on the budget proposal by absentee ballot only.
Qualified voters on the last five years’ poll lists will be automatically sent an absentee ballot. Anyone who meets the definition of a “qualified voter” but does not believe they will be on the school district’s poll list (which includes names of residents who voted in the last five school elections), please contact District Clerk Amber Flanders by email at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible to ensure timely receipt of an absentee ballot for the 2020 school election.
All absentee ballots must be received in the office of the District Clerk (102 Loralee Drive, Albany, NY 12205) no later than 5 p.m. on June 9. Ballots may be returned via mail or dropped off in the secured lockbox located outside of the office. The ballot must be sealed, signed, and dated. Please Note: The ballot will not be valid if there is no signature on the envelope.
