South Colonie Board of Education President Ed Sim and Vice President Rose Gigliello present a President’s Spotlight Award last night to Colleen John. John was honored by the Hudson Valley chapter of the American Automobile Association last spring with the 2017 Bus Driver of the Year Award.

Lisha Kill MIddle School is helping a Houston-area school damaged by Hurricane Harvey by collecting and shipping some 1,100 books to students there. Lisha Kill Middle School held an evacuation drill this fall with the help of local police and emergency personnel. 14 members of the iCARE leadership cabinet volunteered for the day at the Regional Food Bank’s farm: The Patroon Land Farm, near Thatcher Park. Sand Creek Middle School held its annual walk/bike to school event this morning with PTA volunteers serving breakfast and Superintendent Buhner, Town Supervisor Mahon and Principal Nicholson greeting students and families.

These students from Roessleville Elementary School were nominated by their teachers for showing Respect during the month of September. These students were recognized at the monthly character education assembly and received PAWS certificates in recognition of their achievement.
