Lisha Kill MIddle School is helping a Houston-area school damaged by Hurricane Harvey by collecting and shipping some 1,100 books to students there.

The books are being sent to teacher Ann Daley’s (pictured right) class at Clear Creek High School in Friendswood, Texas. About 25 percent of her students lost their homes, and most everything in them from the devastating hurricane that hit the Houston area recently. The Lisha Kill PTA and iCARE Club set up a “GoFundMe – Books for Houston” drive because they wanted to help.

“As a community we have come together to help others,” Yerou added. “That’s one of the many things that make the Lisha Kill and South Colonie communities such amazing places.”
