Interested in Working a Few Hours a Day/Week?

Interested in working just a few hours a day/week while you child is in school? South Colonie CSD Food Service Department is taking applications for substitute Food Service Helpers. You choose the building(s) you wish to work in. Download the three-page employment application (pdf), apply in person at the South Colonie CSD District Offices, 102 Loralee Drive, Albany, or call Steve Clikeman in the SC Human Resource Department at 869-3576, x2463 for an application.

Substitute Custodial Positions Also Available at all Schools and Offices

South Colonie Schools has substitute custodial positions available at all schools and offices. Shifts are 4-8 hours a day. For more information please contact the Department of Human Resources for an application at 869-3576.

Applications are always accepted for many full-time, part-time and substitute support staff positions. When an opening occurs, applications will be forwarded to the hiring supervisor for review. Bus Driver – Requires high school diploma or equivalent and CDL B Driver License with P and S endorsements.

Bus Aide – Requires NYS Dept of Education Bus Aide Pre-Service course (provided by district).

Food Service Helper –Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Cashier experience helpful.

Cleaner – Requires high school diploma or equivalent and previous work experience doing cleaning. Works individually and as part of a team.

Noon/Lunch Aide – Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Establishes good rapport with students.

Clerk/Typist – Requires high school diploma or equivalent and good computer skills. Previous experience doing clerical work preferred. Substitute position, filling in as needed.
