Girl Scouts Take On Saddlewood Elementary School Landscaping Project

Over the summer, Girls Scout Troop No. 1643, which included Saddlewood Elementary School students: Amanda Johnson, Alyssa Johnson, Jennifer Mueller, Jessica Rafferty, Erica Coleman, Isabella Rodriguez, Isabelle Carosi, Makayla Blake and Veeder Elementary School student Brianna Smith, worked very hard cleaning up the huge gardens in front of the school. They "adopted" the Saddlewood landscaping project as part of their efforts to earn their Bronze Award. They got together three or four nights with their families and PTA Board members to weed, transplant, plant, trim and redesign the beautiful gardens. The Saddlewood PTA recognizes and appreciates their efforts! There is a lovely garden sign (photo 8) giving them the credit they so deserve in one of the gardens. They did a GREAT job!
