This photo art gallery features art work completed by grade 5-6 students in Betsy Ryan's art classes at Sand Creek Middle School. Van Gogh's sunflowers and his use of line inspired the first series of pictures (Photos 5-22) created by fifth graders. These students used acrylic and markers to complete their own exploration of line. Sixth graders learned about Louis C. Tiffany and his beautiful stained glass windows. They were challenged to create a watercolor (Photos 23-33) with the subject being something that flies. They explored color mixing and the use of warm/cool colors in their work.
