This photo art gallery features art work completed by grade 5 students in Betsy Ryan's art classes at Lisha Kill Middle School. Van Gogh's sunflowers and his use of line inspired the first series of pictures (Photos 3-10). Students used acrylic and markers to complete their own exploration of line. The second group of pictures (Photos 11-15) features fifth grade tree art based on their studies of the Banyan tree of India. Students learned about positive and negative space as they used acrylic paint and oil pastels to create their trees.
