Crafts - Mixed Media and Fabric and Fibers (Flower Head Bands/Flower Pins/Assorted Jewelry)

In this Crafts - Mixed Media and Fabric and Fibers art class taught by Thomasa Nielsen at Colonie Central High School students were involved in a jewelry and fashion accessories unit. They learned how to sew and make flower hand bands and flower pins and assorted jewelry that are currently in vogue. Student made one head band and one flower clip. In the jewelry portion they each had to make a pair of earrings and either a necklace or a bracelet. In addition to making the jewelry and fashion accessories, students learn how to display the finished products.
