Roessleville Universal Pre-Kindergartners Celebrate Nursery Rhyme Olympics

To celebrate the end of the Nursery Rhyme Unit, students in the Universal Pre-Kindergarten program at Roessleville Elementary held the Nursery Rhyme Olympics this spring. Events included the Humpty Dumpty Relay (children galloped on a horse to a broken Humpty Dumpty, put him back together again and galloped back), Jack and Jill Relay (children filled a cup of water, ran to Jack and Jill's bucket and tried to filled it), Baa Baa Black Sheep Relay (children got into a sack of wool, hopped around a cone and back again) and the Jack Be Nimble Hurdle (children jumped over various hurdles just like Jack jumped over the candlestick). The event ended with an Olympics ceremony where everyone was presented with a Nursery Rhyme Gold Medal.
