Ex-CCHS Athlete and Former Denver Bronco to Speak at Boys Basketball Game Tuesday

David Gamble, 1988 Colonie High graduate, Football, Basketball, and Track Star will be speaking at halftime of the Guilderland vs. Colonie boys basketball game this Tuesday, February 9, 7 p.m., as part of the NFL’s celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Super Bowl. Gamble played wide receiver for the 1998 Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos, who were crowned NFL champions again on Sunday.

Colonie Central High School yearbooks are now available for $75, however, quantities are LIMITED this year. In years past, books were available for purchase in May after the yearbooks arrive. However, this year we drastically cut the number of books ordered due to budget constraints. Please do not wait until the end of the school year to purchase. Canaan Jacob Harvey was an athlete, and a good one, but anyone who knew him would say his finest attributes were his incredible sense of humor and generous nature. C.J. Harvey, who competed in football, basketball and track and field at Colonie High School, died Monday morning of a heart attack at his home. He was 31. full story

Saturday's iCARE Rugged Raider Patriot Challenge at Colonie High School raised about $2,000 for military families and veterans. Sailor Joins Brother as Navy Aviator, Both CCHS Grads

Navy Lt. j.g. Evan Gordon of Colonie received his Gold Aviator Wing and was officially designated as a naval aviator during a ceremony at the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, Miss. His parents, Greg and Sue Gordon of Colonie, pinned the Aviator Gold Wing on their son. They also pinned a Gold Aviator Wing on their other son, Navy Lt. Shawn Gordon, in 2012. full story
