Helps Shaker Road Playground Renovation Fund Top $700 Mark
Thanks to the ongoing generosity of Red-Kap, Shaker Road Elementary School's good neighbors who run the Shaker Mobil On the Run, the school has gone over the $700 mark in contributions toward further restoration of our landmark Imagination Station playground. Customers at the store share their spare change and Red-Kap matches the totals.
Jon Kaplan is the owner of Red-Kap Sales, which operates the Mobil station up the road from the school. He has worked with us on many different initiatives that result in support for Shaker Road and he truly typifies what it means to be a good neighbor.
Shaker Road's next collaboration with Mr. Kaplan is the annual grant application for the Exxon Mobil Educational Alliance grant (EMEA). The school has been awarded this grant in the past and was able to apply the proceeds to new plans in the Courtyard and the Imagination Station, which Shaker Road teachers turned into enjoyable math and science lessons for students.
In the meantime, know that Mr. Kaplan and the staff at the Shaker Mobil on the Run are truly good neighbors to Shaker Road Elementary School's students and staff. We remain grateful for that loyal support.
