Eighth Grader Wins Capital Region Spelling Bee

Sand Creek Middle School eighth-grader Ryan Devanandan won the 2013 Capital Region Spelling Bee at Proctors Theatre on Tuesday, March 5. He won in the final round by spelling the word prevaricate, and will get the chance to represent the area in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. full story
