Sand Creek Middle School offers the gift of reading to next year's kindergartners like Autumn, Zachary and Destiny, who will be attending Saddlewood Elementary School full time in the fall.

Sand Creek Offers The Gift of Reading to New Kindergarten Students

All incoming kindergarten students were given the gift of reading. The book Read to your Bunny, by Rosemary Wells, was presented to each child upon registering at their elementary schools the week of March 8-12. Funds for this project were raised by Sand Creek Middle School's reading teachers during the annual Creekfest Carnival last fall. The carnival is held each year as a kickoff event for the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program.
