Seventh Graders Celebrate Pi Day 3.14

The entire seventh grade class at Lisha Kill Middle School celebrated Pi Day (3.14) on March 14 with learning activities and a bit of fun. Students worked on eight Pi related stations throughout the day including: learning ‘The Mathematical Pi’ Song, writing Pi related poetry, riddles and stories, memorizing the digits of Pi and using circumference, diameter and radius to calculate Pi. view a photo gallery

March Madness Raises Money For Lisha Kill Memorial Scholarship Fund

Lisha Kill Middle School held a March Madness event of its own featuring a 3-on-3 basketball tournament. Students and faculty came out to cheer on 14 teams as they raised $240 for the Memorial Scholarship Fund. full story

The Lisha Kill Middle School Seventh grade second quarter Awards Assembly was held the first week of February in the school’s auditorium. Many of the grade’s 168 students received awards. full story

Student Competes in Regional Spelling Bee

Sydney Richards, a student in Ms. Detrick's class at Lisha Kill Middle School, competed at Proctor's Theater this week in the regional Spelling Bee against 115 other 4-8 graders. full story

8th Grade Career Speaker Series Information

Lisha Kill Middle School is offering an 8th Grade Career Speaker Series. From now until March, 8th graders will have the opportunity to hear about potential career paths from an array of professionals from the Capital District.
