Albany devil dog visits school

The Albany Devil's Dawg visits Lisha Kill Middle School to take pictures with the students and sign autographs during School Spirit Day in January. He was also there to promote Lisha Kill hockey game night on March 4 at 4 p.m. at the Times Union Center in Albany. $14 gets you a game ticket and a white baseball cap with the Albany Devils logo. The Lisha Kill chorus will sing the National Anthem.

Drama Club to Present Annie, Jr. This Weekend

Dodgeball Domination Highlights This Year's Scholarship Event

Dodgeball Domination will replace the annual Sand Creek-Lisha Kill middle school scholarship night event this year. It will be held on Thursday, March 22, 6-8 p.m., at the CCHS MUG. For information on how to sign up to play, click here (pdf).

Lisha Kill Names 2011-2012 Ironman and Ironwoman Winners

Lisha Kill Middle School held its annual Ironman and Ironwoman competition recently during Physical Education classes for students in Grades 7-8. Congratulations to this year's seventh grade Ironman Josh Paszkowski and eighth grade Ironman Aaron Muia, as well as this year's seventh grade Ironwoman Victoria Ramirez and eighth grade Ironwoman Elizabeth Deyo. Chamber Orchestra Performs Holiday Tunes

The Lisha Kill Middle School Grade 7-8 Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Mark Lewis performed holiday tunes at a variety of locations in December 20, starting at the South Colonie District Office. The group then took a school bus around the area to perform for senior citizens at the Glen Eddy, Bishop Broderick and the Atria of Crossgates Senior Living Center. view a photo gallery

Lisha Killl Middle School Team Legends held its 1st quarter Awards Assembly this fall. The transition from 6th to 7th grade is not always an easy one, but these students have shown that with hard work and support, success can be found. full story

Cuddles for Cause Collects 1,000 Stuffed Animals For Area Flood Victims

Cuddles for Cause was a program that a few students and parents from Lisha Kill Middle School and Veeder Elementary School started this fall to collect new or gently loved stuffed animals for local children who lost everything during Hurricane Irene. As a result, more than 1,000 animals were donated to local school kids at Jefferson Elementary in the Schalmont Central School district. full story

The U.S. Marine Corps arrived at Lisha Kill Middle School on December 6th to collect the many contributions made toward the Stuff the Bus with Toys For Tots campaign. full story

Student Council Food Drive Reaches An All-Time High

Lisha Kill Middle School's annual Student Council Food Drive reached an all-time high this year. A record number of items were donated to local food pantries. full story
