Lisha Kill Students Win Siena College Bookmark Contest in Fight Against Breast Cancer
Two Lisha Kill Middle School students from seventh grade Team Legends were honored by Siena College for their bookmark designs to support the fight against breast cancer.
The top prize of a weeklong sports camp of their choice at Siena College was won by both Kaitlyn Tran and Amanda Chrzanowski. The girls were honored during the Siena College annual CRAAB, Capital Region Action Against Breast Cancer Pink Zone Game, in January. This is an evening of Siena Women’s Basketball, breast cancer education and fundraising.
Prior to the evening, students from Lisha Kill Middle School and specifically seventh grade Team Legends, participated in the bookmark competition. The students made bookmarks depicting healthy lifestyles that would help in the prevention of breast cancer. More than 125 students from Lisha Kill participated and hundreds more from the Capital Region.
Honorable mention was earned by Team Legends students Leah Tomisman, Nora Rasoully and Heather Dilcher.
