Lisha Killl Middle School Team Legends held its 1st quarter Awards Assembly this fall. The transition from 6th to 7th grade is not always an easy one, but these students have shown that with hard work and support, success can be found.

Here are the first quarter team award winners:

Fantastic Five: This is the first year for this award. It is an award for ALL-AROUND excellence. The team’s teachers felt that these students showed excellence in academics and character and were role models for the whole team. The FANTASTIC FIVE for 1st Quarter are: Vienna Crisafulli, Jaeden Lewis, Dylan McDonough, Mike Johnson and Haley Gabriel.

Legends Homework Heroes: The recipients of this award completed EVERY homework assignment for EVERY core teacher during the 1st Quarter. Those students are: Nicholas Andrade, Brooke Dillenbeck, Marissa Summa, Haley Gabriel, David Grey, Michael Johnson, Leah Tomisman, Kaitlyn Tran, Rachel Aidala, Alyssa Kois, Abigail Montuori, Mariam Sardar, Jeffrey Canastra, Janine Hvizdos, Dominic Masa, Carolyn Miner, Adam Tenney, Zach Turnbull, Danielle VanAlstyne, Jamie Lam, Jaeden Lewis, Dylan McDonough, Joshua Paszkowski, Abigail Pickett, Kevin Ritz, Sana Syed and Brittany Truax.

Subject Awards: The following students received individual subject awards for their participation, interest and passion for the subject matter. Pre-Math: Amanda Chrzanowski, French: Carolyn Miner, Spanish: Danielle VanAlstyne, ELA: Janine Hvizdos, Social Studies: Zach Diguilio (pictured left), Math: Brooke Dillenbeck and in Science: Millard Sperbeck.

State and National Recognition were also given to Millard Sperbeck for his participation in the National Radon Education and Awareness Poster Contest.
