South Colonie Special Education PTA - SEPTA

SEPTA logoThe South Colonie Special Education PTA or SEPTA is special PTA unit chartered in 2009 to help parents advocate for children with special needs. Special Education is free appropriate education in the least restrictive environment for children who require differentiated programs and/or special services beyond the normal provided by the regular school program.

SEPTA is a unit organized for those interested in the issues of educating gifted and special needs children. The SEPTA unit meetings every other month, at 6:30 p.m., in the Colonie Central High School library (see meeting dates in right column).

We invited every parent, guardian, teacher, administrator, staff member of community member to join us and become a member of  our unit. If you would like to become a member, please complete the SEPTA enrollment form and return it to your child's school in an envelope marked SEPTA membership or mail to:
