

Importance Of Extracurricular Activities
Research shows that students who are involved in school activities are academically more successful. Participation allows students and teachers to interact on a more personal level than the classroom allows.
Joining Clubs
At the beginning of the year, club members make presentations to the freshman class to explain what the club does. If students have further questions or need a contact, they should visit the Associate Principal’s office for more information.
ART CLUB
Students can pursue art projects for school or personal interest.
Students participate in all respects of automobile mechanics. (Not budgeted for 2010-11 year)
COMPUTER/MATH CLUB
Students participate in creative and dynamic mathematical activities.
Provides an experience in business and office work beyond the regular instructional program and helps students understand the responsibilities of the working world.
FOREIGN LANGUAGE
Students pursue interests in foreign lands and culture.
GOURMET CLUB
Students learn to prepare and practice basic elements of Culinary Arts.
HUMAN RELATIONS
Promotes friendship and understanding among student groups.
School and community club affiliated with the Kiwanis Club. Volunteerism is the focus of this club.
LINE & CUE
High school theater group that presents stage performances. Includes acting performance, behind the scene work and box office activities.
MASTERMINDS
Interscholastic competition where students apply their knowledge to answer questions on a wide variety of subjects. (Not budgeted for 2010-11 year)
MOCK TRIAL
Students get the opportunity to experience the legal system first hand by receiving a case from the Albany County Bar Association and trying the case against other Suburban Council schools.

NATURAL HELPERS
Natural Helpers is a peer-helping program used across the United States and in several other countries. It involves high school students who want to strengthen their communication and helping skills and to provide support to others and service to their schools and communities.
RADIO CONTROL CAR CLUB
Provides students the opportunity to build design and race radio control cars.
ROUGETOR STUDENT YEARBOOK
Participation in the CCHS yearbook publication and business aspects of the same.
SANDSCRIPT STUDENT NEWSPAPER
Participation in the high school student newspaper. (Not budgeted for 2010-11 year)
SCHOOL SENATE
Student Government that coordinates activities and promotes school spirit.
SCIENCE CLUB
Students participate in a variety of experiments and competitions in various areas of science.
SKI
Students meet in Jan. & Feb. for instructional and recreational skiing. (Not budgeted for 2010-11 year)

Participation in activities related to Students Against Drunk Driving decisions.
