General Chorus Instruction by Grade Level

South Colonie offers large group vocal music instruction at the middle and high school levels.

Middle School Level (Grades 5-8)

The middle schools offer Grade 5 Chorus, Grade 6 Chorus, Grade 7 Chorus and Grade 8 Chorus which meets every other day for 40 minutes. Grades 5 and 6 Chorus performs two or three concerts a year. Grades 7 and 8 Chorus perform three concerts a year. No lessons are given.

High School Level (9-12)

The high school offers a Mixed Chorus and Chamber Singers group (selected by audition). The groups meet daily for 40 minutes and perform four concerts a year. Group voice lessons are offered - one 20-minute lesson per six-day rotation.
