Two Lisha Kill Students Capture Awards For Their Horse Art

Two Lisha Kill Middle School students captured awards for their horse art at the 17th annual National Museum of Racing equine art show in Saratoga Springs. First Place went to Emma Gleason (Gr. 6) and Honor Mention went to Katie Scott (Gr. 5). The show runs though March 20. full story

Colonie High Freshman Art Students Join Duck Parade

The Duck Parade" is a post modern art project involving all Colonie Central High School freshman art students each year.  "The Duck Parade" is modeled after "The Cow Parade for Charity" and has been part of the high school art curriculum for more than 10 years. Students are encouraged to be creative (think outside the box) and relate their projects to popular culture through a duck art theme. full story

CCHS Students Visit New York City Art Museums in the Spring

Colonie Central High School art students had an opportunity to visit some of the famous art museums in New York City this spring like The Cloisters and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The classes that went were HVCC Art History, Advanced Studio in Drawing and Painting, and Directed Studio in Art.

Veeder Art Teacher Honored in 'A Day Made Better' Event
