Congratulations to Lisha Kill Middle School 8th graders Kathryn Taleporos and Selma Osei who were chosen among several applicants from across the country to participate in the William P. Lauder iWitness Junior Internship at the University of Southern California. The highly competitive program focuses on genocides throughout history through personal testimonials and document-based analysis.

Through this program, participants were given an the opportunity to:

  • Gain real-world work experience in a university environment
  • Develop an understanding of different types of memory
  • Deepen proficiency in digital literacy and improve communication skills
  • Travel to domestic and international locations

Through these activities, William Lauder interns think about what it means to be a responsible participant in civil society as they develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to believe they have a role in creating positive change in their own lives and communities.
